An Open letter to all those people who took the time to give us their feedback
on the Premier Air Show at Cunderdin

Firstly, we would like to thank you for attending our first
attempt at hosting an Air Show. We extend our thanks to those of you who took the
time to give us your comments. From your feedback, it was gleaned that most people
were completely thrilled with the weekend and are planning to return again for the
“Easter 2005” show to be held once again in Cunderdin, on March 26th and 27th 2005.
We thank you for your support and very valuable, and valid criticisms.

Although the utmost care, consideration, and planning went into preparing the show
(two years) we also could see areas that needed attention and upgrading. Rest assured
that all comments made were given consideration, and where possible taken on board.
The committee has once again begun to look at ways to improve, and supercharge the
show so that it surpasses, and surprises all of you who will come back for a second time
around.

Some of the improvements already being worked on are as follows:

1. A new Taxi Runway is being installed so that planes can do a lap of honour after they
have done their displays. Planes will taxi and park up close to the spectators so that they
may take pictures and get a good look at both aircraft and pilots. The performing pilots will
have the opportunity to say a few words from the commentators, while the next display
team gets ready.

2. There is communication with the military to try and secure grander and more varied
presence. This is a great undertaking as you can imagine, and depends on many factors
outside of our control.

1. CASA Our Display Coordinator Denis MacNeal is keeping in touch with
Rick Sager from CASA. The only hold up is Pilots who have still not sent
heir forms back to me. PLEASE DO SO NOW !
2. Public Liability Insurance. After lots of discussion and quote seeking, the
situatuon is as follows.
The Easter Air show at Cunderdin has Public Liability cover provided by WA
Local Government Insurance Services.
This is the same class of cover as organised for any other previous Air show
conducted in WA.
WALGIS advised us to consider making it a minimum requirement for our Air
Display Aircraft to have $5 mil cover of their own. The reality is that many
Aircraft in WA have well under $5 mil cover.
The Cunderdin Aviation Expo Committee response has been to declare that.
All Display Aircraft flying an Air Display at Cunderdin must have a minimum
of $1mil Public Liability Cover of their own.
All Aircraft having under $ 1 mil cover have been removed from the Air
Display Program.
